Hi again! We found out last night that we are going to exchange today! Two days earlier than planned! (And there was me worried about meeting our deadline), so I thought I would give a bit of info about why we decided to go for this house, as quite a few factors came into it.
Last Saturday we hit our 6 months married milestone! I’m sure once the years add up 6 months will be a distant memory, but I thought now would be a good time to look back over the last few months and think about how married life has been.
I have lived in Essex all of my life, my husband grew up in London, before moving to Somerset, back to London, and then to Essex.
Essex is a great place to live, and I definitely have not taken full advantage of everything available to me whilst living here.
However, it is not where I plan on living, it isn’t even where we want to purchase our first home. When we are ready to buy, we will hopefully be relocating down to the Isle of Wight.
I tried to be very conscientious when we were picking our vendors for our wedding. I wanted them to be a small business and/or local when possible.
This was easy enough with our venue, cake, hair and makeup, my dress was from a local shop (even though the designer is Australian), and even our favours were mini jars of jam from Tiptree (also local to us). For other aspects of our wedding day, I turned to Etsy for inspiration.
I have some ‘major’ life goals that I want to achieve this year, and I also have some much smaller things I want to get done during the year.
Welcome to my little area of the internet, I am Mrs T, aged 26, and trying to work out the world as I go towards the next stages in my life (buying our first home and having a family).
