Hi again! As we’re coming into another very different wedding season, I thought I would look back at how my husband and I got married. How it felt in the middle of a pandemic, and the steps we took to ensure our guests stayed safe!
Last Saturday we hit our 6 months married milestone! I’m sure once the years add up 6 months will be a distant memory, but I thought now would be a good time to look back over the last few months and think about how married life has been.
Wedding Traditions are a personal opinion to each couple, some feel they are outdated, and others enjoy taking part in traditions. Here’s some of the more well known traditions and if we took part in them on our wedding day.
I tried to be very conscientious when we were picking our vendors for our wedding. I wanted them to be a small business and/or local when possible.
This was easy enough with our venue, cake, hair and makeup, my dress was from a local shop (even though the designer is Australian), and even our favours were mini jars of jam from Tiptree (also local to us). For other aspects of our wedding day, I turned to Etsy for inspiration.
With a week to go, in aid of our first Valentine’s Day as husband and wife, pulled out all of the stops with our dinner plans!
So just like that, we already had three of our wedding colours (navy, plum and gold). We eventually added burgundy into the mix after our meeting with our florist who suggested roses (luckily our wedding favours of mini jam jars also matched the burgundy!).
Slowly and tentatively, we are making the first steps towards preparing ourselves for the idea of trying for a family.
I have some ‘major’ life goals that I want to achieve this year, and I also have some much smaller things I want to get done during the year.
